We are now recruiting Contractor Escorts to join our Facilities Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the safe and smooth operation of a modern prison environment.

The Role
As a Contractor Escort, you'll be a key point of contact for contractors and service engineers working within the prison. You'll ensure their safe access, supervise them during their time on-site, and maintain strict security standards at all times.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, responsibility, and working in a purpose-driven environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Verifying contractor ID, assisting with check‑in, and ensuring all documentation is compliant.
Conducting searches and confiscating prohibited items in line with security procedures.
Performing tool and equipment checks to ensure all items remain accounted for.
Escorting contractors and visitors to maintain safety and security across the site.
Handling, searching, and logging incoming deliveries to prevent contraband risks.
Demonstrating strong security awareness around key control and tool management.
Carrying out routine inspections to ensure safe working practices.
Following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns where required.
Supporting the onsite Stores team to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
Receive, receipt and store incoming materials.
Completing administrative tasks to ensure accurate data and record‑keeping.
Ensure the safe and secure storage of all store assets—including pump trucks, forklifts, and electric vehicles—as well as contractor materials, with up-to-date COSHH documentation maintained. Additionally, oversee the cleanliness and consistent supply of all satellite stores across the site.
Ensure full health and safety and fire safety compliance in all areas of work.
