Career in Community Care
A snapshot of community care roles — supporting people in their homes and communities.

Hull
and East Yorkshire Combined Authority (HEYCA) is embarking on an exciting new chapter,
securing transformative powers and funding as part of the government’s new
Strategic Authority framework, underpinned by the 2024 English Devolution White
Paper with government. Our directly elected Mayor will lead a bold agenda
focused on transport and digital connectivity, affordable housing, job
creation, health and wellbeing and the championing of young people. By
maximising inward investment into key industrial sectors and across the urban,
rural and coastal communities, the Mayor aims to bring greater prosperity and
recognition of the region’s potential — placing the voices of Hull and East
Yorkshire firmly on the national stage.
A
key devolved function of HEYCA will be taking responsibility for the management
and delivery of the Adult Skills Fund from the Department for Education from
August 2026.
This
is a significant undertaking and requires a team of dedicated people with the
right attitude, skills and knowledge to take this forward, ensuring residents
of Hull and East Yorkshire are provided with the learning opportunities they
need and employers can secure the skilled individuals they require to enhance
their productivity.
HEYCA
is recruiting the first two key ASF team roles:
