Annual General Meeting. Year-in-review presentation by the Chair, financial report by the Treasurer, and election of officers for 2025/26. Resolutions on the updated articles of association passed unanimously.

Members thanked the outgoing Chair of the Skills Working Group for two years' service.

Pre-launch review of the refreshed HEY LSIP website. The Board walked through the new sector pages, news/events feed and minutes repository. Sign-off given to go live on the agreed date subject to the final accessibility audit.

Forward look to the autumn — confirmed the September employer summit dates and the keynote speaker shortlist.

Spring plan setting. The Board reviewed sector dashboard mock-ups from the website refresh project and provided feedback on the labour market visualisations. Action: the digital workstream lead to circulate a revised draft by end of April.

Discussion of the Hull & Humber Chamber news and events feed integration — agreed to proceed with the proposed weekly sync.

Year-end review for 2025. Notable outputs: refreshed sector profiles published for all priority sectors, two new sector-employer roundtables established, and the careers guidance pilot extended to seven schools.

The Board approved the 2026 budget envelope and noted the new digital website refresh project commissioned for the spring.

Welcome back from summer recess. Reviewed the autumn engagement calendar including the Hull & Humber Chamber annual conference and the regional careers fair. Confirmed LSIP representation at all five.

The Board discussed early feedback from the green skills employer panel and agreed to commission a short discovery piece on offshore wind apprenticeship pathways.

Mid-year progress check. Encouraging take-up of the careers guidance pilot in three secondary schools. The Board endorsed the proposal to extend to a further four schools in autumn term, contingent on funding confirmation from the local authority.

Approved the draft response to the parliamentary skills consultation. Chair to submit on behalf of the Board.

Annual plan refresh for 2025/26. The Board signed off the updated priority sector list and the revised employer engagement KPIs. Discussion focused on the 16+ transitions data shared by the local authority and how it shapes our careers guidance work.

Risk register reviewed. New risk added around digital infrastructure capacity for the Skills Working Group reporting tools.

Year-end review against the 2024 strategic plan. Headline progress: 14 employer briefings delivered, two skills bootcamps launched with partners, and the draft sector profiles for Ports & Logistics and Manufacturing approved.

The Board discussed the upcoming DfE refresh of the LSIP framework and agreed an initial response position. Treasurer's report tabled and accepted.

Inaugural meeting of the 2024/25 Board. Welcome to two new members representing the further education and offshore wind sectors. The Chair recapped the LSIP's remit and the year-one priorities agreed with DfE.

Key items: confirmed the workstream leads for each of the six priority sectors; reviewed the Q3 employer engagement pipeline; agreed a working schedule for the Skills Working Group.

Subcommittee review of the autumn employer engagement plan. Confirmed the September employer summit format — half-day, sector-themed breakouts, two keynotes. Action: subcommittee to lead venue selection by mid-May.

Brief discussion of the chamber news and events feed — subcommittee supportive of automated topic and geographic filtering.

Pre-launch review of the sector pages and the live opportunities feed. The Group provided detailed feedback on the jobs feed display and the sector taxonomy mapping. Action: feedback to the digital workstream by 30 May.

Mid-year update against the 2025/26 plan. Strong progress on the green skills strand; slower pace on the digital skills strand, partly due to provider capacity constraints. Action: working session in March to unblock the digital strand.

Reviewed the website refresh discovery report. Group endorsed the structure for the new sector pages.

Reviewed early findings from the green skills employer panel. Common themes: shortage of installation technicians, demand for hybrid renewable-and-power-grid skill sets, and concern about lead times for new course validation.

Agreed to commission a follow-up scoping piece on offshore wind apprenticeship pathways with the FE college partners.

Final sector profile sign-off for publication. The Group recorded thanks to the workstream leads and the employer contributors. Profiles to be published alongside the autumn engagement calendar.

Initial discussion of the green skills employer panel — agreed scope and shortlist of likely participants.

Draft sector profiles reviewed. Strong feedback on the Manufacturing and Energy drafts; further work needed on the Creative Industries profile to better reflect SME pipeline. Action: redrafts by 30 May, peer review at the next meeting.

Group discussed the careers guidance pilot with the careers leads from two schools; positive early signals.

Reviewed outputs of the data audit. Three primary sources identified: ONS labour market statistics, local authority destinations data, and our own employer survey returns. Agreed a unified template for the sector profiles.

Action: each workstream owner to draft a one-page profile by end of February.

Kick-off meeting for the 2024/25 Skills Working Group. Members agreed terms of reference and a rolling meeting schedule of every six to eight weeks. Initial workstream owners confirmed for each of the six priority sectors.

Discussion of the data sources available for sector skills profiling — agreed a short data audit task ahead of January.
